Federal law has no daily cap, but Florida, Maryland and Oklahoma limit you to 3 sales calls in 24 hours to the same person about the same thing. A safe habit everywhere is 2 calls a day at different times, plus a text if you have consent.
Florida counts calls, texts and voicemails together. Maryland has had its 3 call limit since January 2024. Oklahoma fines $500 per violation, tripled if willful.
If you use a dialer, the federal rule also limits dropped calls to 3% of answered calls. A call counts as dropped if no live person picks up within 2 seconds of the greeting.
Set a daily cap per lead in your dialer so you never hit a fourth call by mistake. This is a summary, not legal advice.
