Dial Haul / Answers

Do I need a license in the lead’s state to call them?

Short answer

Yes. You need an insurance license in the state where the lead lives before you sell, solicit or negotiate a policy. Most states give nonresident licenses to agents who hold a valid home state license, so adding a state is mostly paperwork and fees.

This comes from the NAIC producer licensing model law that most states follow. Section 16 covers nonresident licenses when your home state does the same for others.

In the Dial Haul store, pick only the states you are licensed in. Your leads will only come from those states.

Keep CE current in your home state. Our state pages list the CE rules for each of our 13 states.
